Yes, I have things to say about revision. That is a topic for a future post. Teaser: You're not supposed to revise in Surrealism, but that purist position has been contested and proven to be untenable. And yet, revision does seem to "kill" the flavor of automatic and spontaneous writing. So it deserves special treatment. It is different than your MFA workshop model for sure.
These are my thoughts exactly. I rarely revise for that reason. Most of my revised work sucks. It sounds best when it just pours out and is not interfered with in any way.
